One Big Family Adventure: Packrafting Alaska's Arctic Refuge

Some family vacations revolve around beach resorts, campgrounds, or theme parks. Ours started with the hum of a bush plane disappearing into Alaska's Arctic Refuge. Three people. Two packrafts. Seven days. Fifty-ish miles of winding river. One adventurous five-year-old. And two very excited parents.
